If you are undocumented and live in the state of California, you may be able to get a driver license. With the passage of Assembly Bill 60 (AB 60) in 2013, individuals who are in the U.S. without legal presence can apply for a driver license in the state of California (as long as you meet all other qualifications for a license, as well as provide proof of identity and proof of California residency).
To apply for a driver license, you must:
NOTE: If you received DACA, you can use your Social Security Number (proof of legal presence) and all other required documents to the DMV, to apply for a driver license.
As of July 2015, 400,000 folks were able to receive a driver license under AB 60!
